More about that very special day in New York.

After leaving the WRC Media offices, I returned to Ferne’s flat at E 68th and Central Park, where my son Jarrod was waiting for me. After jumping up and down with delight and hugging one another, I called Susan Eddy with the good news.

On what was a very hot and steamy New York day, Jarrod and I then walked to the Metropolitan Museum of Art where we saw a magnificent exhibition of Paul Gauguin’s work....one of my favourite artists.

Then onto the Central Park Zoo to meet Ferne, where she has been one of the zoos key volunteers for many years. After this, we met up with Cyma and enjoyed a celebratory lunch together. I was walking on air.

Now we could move forward.

Susan Eddy was to liaise with a women in WRC Media’s Connecticut office. Susan would take my images and text and put them into the appropriate files for the WRC Media people to then upload onto their site.

At the same time, a website for Artforlifeinc, was being built. This would link into the WRC Media site...talk more about the fund raising side of the project and display related products, i.e. stickers and posters.

Here is the first published column in poster form. On the sites, it was presented frame by frame like a book.

We were given the WRC Media seal of approval which of course was very valuable.

Here are some pictures of the star of the project back at home in Crickadoon, surrounded by her friends and stickers.

Yesterday I had to go to Paddington Station. Given that it was such a beautiful day I came back to Waterloo Station via Trafalgar Square.

When I arrived a demonstration was just about to begin, and I was taken back to the mid sixties when I would demonstrate with many others for peace and the banning of the bloody bomb!

A highlight from that time was when I was ushered into a paddy wagon with Vanessa Redgrave...those were the days!
