I was nine years old when I last visited Hampton Court Palace. Now virtually on my door step, I revisited the Palace gardens yesterday afternoon with fellow artist Katrina.

It really is wonderful. I am sure I will now be going there more frequently. A place to walk through beautiful gardens, commune with nature, and for sketching.

I love this view of the Palace from the River.

The famous Hampton Court Palace maze designed in 1690 by George London and Henry Wise.
Originally planted with Hornbeam, now Yew.

Garden mazes are designs in which the participant is confronted with many choices or paths to the centre, somewhat like the journey of life!

I will write more about the Maze of life in tomorrow's post.

I am off early this morning with my 90 year old Aunt to have lunch with my Mother. Although sisters, they have seen very little of one another over the years, and so this should be interesting.
